Corning Gorilla Glass Victus:
Corning developer and manufacturer of Gorilla glass have introduced their toughest version of Gorilla Glass yet, this version of the glass is named as Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Corning Gorilla Glass has shared a series of videos in their twitter handle. The videos show in-lab tests where Gorilla Glass Victus put into rigorous testing.
They say that the Gorilla Glass Victus will come with significant improvements in both drop and scratch performance.
The scratch resistance is said to be 2x better than Corning Gorilla Glass 6. the Gorilla Glass 6 can survive drops from 1.6 meters above the ground.
The Gorilla glass Victus can survive drops from up to 2 meters onto hard, rough surfaces.
Gorilla Glass Victus will be 4x better than competitive aluminosilicate glass from other manufacturers.
Going by the current development, we can expect smartphone development companies to deliver devices with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus in the second half of 2020 or first half of 2021.
